Deceased, who was 49 years of age, leaves a widow and two young sons" and The Queenslander - " Mr. William Byers, of Pinelands, Crow's Nest, died at Dalby last night, after being two weeks in the sanatorium there (our Crow's Nest correspondent telegraphed yesterday). Word of his failing health reached Mrs. Byers yesterday afternoon, but the roads were too bad to allow her to catch the Western mail train in time. Deceased, who was 40 years of age, leaves a widow and two young sons. He arrived at Charters Towers from England in 1893, and was there till four years ago, when he purchased a farm at Pinelands. He was superintendent of the Methodist Sunday School at Charters Towers for a number of years."
