  • Sarah Beach was born on 13 July 1852 in Mortimer, Berkshire, England.
  • Her marriage, at 25 years and 4 months, to Thomas Alfred Bryson Gibson was registered in the December 1877 Quarter Registration District.
  • Sarah Beach and Thomas Alfred Bryson Gibson immigrated to Brisbane on 26 May 1883. Sarah and Thomas both 28, and their children Frances 7, Alf 4, Emma 2 and Annie an infant travelled on the Nagpore leaving Plymouth on 2 March 1883.
  • On 29 August 1892 Thomas added the names of his children Alfred 13, Emma 11, Annie 9, Alice 7 and George 6 to the list of children likely to attend the proposed new Mossview School that was to be established on land donated by Frank Gillies at Emu Creek. He lived on Portion 82V about 3 miles from the site. The children had previously attended Crow's Nest School.
