• At the age of 19 years, 9 months and 25 days, Johanna Louise (Hannah) Reinke married Johann George Klein, son of Christian (Christie) Klein and Catherina Friedricka Holzwarth, on 28 July 1887 in Christ Lutheran Church, Highfields. They were married in a double ceremony with George's brother William and Wilhelmina Humberdross. At the time she was married Hannah was living at Westbrook, perhaps where she worked.
  After their marriage the couple moved to their own farm a few miles north west of Goombungee (Portion 12V, Parish of Goombungee, 160 acres). A small house was erected on the property through which Gomoran Creek flowed.
  
• George worked as a bullock driver, having a contract to deliver goods to the Meringandan railhead ten miles to the south east of their property. He was often away with the team. He also hauled logs for teh sawmill at Goombungee.
  
• On 25 August 1891 George and Hannah's daughter Florence died from diptheria. Three days later her three year old brother William also died. Hannah was home alone at the time, George being away with his bullock team.
  
• On 12 February 1893 Hannah gave birth to twins. Mrs King was again in attendance. As soon as it was apparent that the birth was going to be a difficult one, George went to Meringandan for help. Hannah's father and brother rode to Toowoomba as well, but in both cases they were hampered by flood waters. Only one of the twins lived.
  
• Johanna Louise (Hannah) Reinke died on 20 March 1893 in Goombungee, Queensland, at age 25. Hannah had developed septicaemia after the birth of her twins, and died nine days later. She was buried with her son near their home in a coffin he made from the kitchen table, as it was impossible for George to reach the Goombungee cemetery because of continued rain. After Hannah's death George took his son to be cared for by his parents.
