  • She was the daughter of Frederick Stephen Marshall and Isabella Hope.
  • Jessie Isabel Marshall appeared on the Electoral Roll with Frederick Stephen Marshall and Isabella Hope in 1930 in Pechey. Fred was a farmer. Their daughter Jessie carried out home duties and most likely lived with them.
  • At the age of 24 years and 6 months, Jessie Isabel Marshall married Harry Edser, son of Joseph (Joe) Edser and Emily Halloway, on 14 March 1932 in Queensland.

  • Jessie Isabel Marshall and Harry Edser appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1943 living at Pinelands. Harry was a farmer.
  • On 23 February 1961,her husband, Harry Edser died in Pinelands, Queensland, at age 79. Harry is remembered by family as " being ‘careful’ with his money; eg, Jessie did not have the luxury of lino on the floor of their house and he never provided his wife and the children with any ‘luxuries’. He was also very strict and always expected them to work hard on the farm milking cows, working with horses, cleaning out dams, etc. Harry seemed to have an interest in entering livestock and produce sections of local shows. He gained a second place for his Sudan Grass in the 1934 Toowoomba Show and a first and second prize for 'three fat bullocks' in the Crows Nest Show sometime in the 1940s."

Marshall, Pechey, was brought into Crow's Nest last night, having been badly burnt through getting too close to a bush fire, where her father was clearing off (our Crow's Nest correspondent telegraphed yesterday). All her clothes were burnt off. The unfortunate child died late last night. The funeral this afternoon was largely attended."
