After Fred's death his son Ray sold the property when he moved to Anduramba.5

  • Albert Parrish began military service with the AIF when he enrolled in the 25th Battalion on 23 August 1915 in Lismore, New South Wales, He lived at Foxground, a 27 year old farmer, son of Thomas Parrish of Gerringong. His service number was 3608. He suffered from bronchitis and mumps while stationed in France. He attended bomb school and was appointed Lance Corporal.2
  • On his death in France, Albert Parrish left a will in which he left all his property to be shared equally between his brothers and sisters:- Florence Ann May Smith wife of George Smith farmer of Mullumbimby; Jane Glover wife of Charles Glover of Ashfield NSW, a grocer; Myrtle Susannah Parrish of Gerringong, a spinster; Ivy Parrish of Gerringong, a spinster; Thomas Lindsay Parrish, late of Mullumbimby now in the AIF forces (killed in Esprey, France in 1917); Sydney Parrish of Gerringong, a farmer. Albert's father Thomas was executor of the will.2
  • Albert Parrish was killed in action on 27 May 1918 in France at age 30.2
  • He was buried in Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension, Somme, France.3
