The family lived next door to Jane's sister Ann and her husband James Taylor. Jane's parents John and Ann Jones lived on the other side of the Taylors.

  • She appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 in Aston, Staffordshire. shown as being born Bloxwich, 44 years old, and working in a grocery shop. According to notes written by a relation of William Kingston (in 1960's) Ann had a shop in Aston so perhaps she owned or managed the grocery shop.

  • She and Charles Muller appeared on the census of 31 March 1901 in 115 Fores Road, Aston Manor, Warwickshire. Ann is shown as a 43 year old single grocery shop owner born Bloxwich. She is living with her nephew Charles Muller is shown as a 14 year old railway clerk born Warwick, Birmingham. Also boarding with them is Alice Hollinghead, a 38 year old mat maker (blind), born Birmingham.

  • Ann Chambers appeared on the census of 2 April, 1911.
  • On 28 December 1914 Emma Chambers wrote to Minnie Miller "I have been afraid your cousin Charlie and Austin would be called (into the army) but until now they are at home" and "Of course I have heard from them all. Aunt Annie Charlie, Alice and baby were all going to Aunt Eliza's so I know they would have a good time of it." and "you would laugh if you saw cousin Charlie's baby. He is a monster. Your Auntie Annie has ruined him of course. You will of heard she reared your cousin Charlie. I was going to put little Charile of course we used to call him that & even now make mistake. His baby is called Keith. I bet you have never heard of that name before, one of Auntie Annies chosing so we have to like that name wether we do or not."

  • She was the daughter of Sampson Henry Chambers and Edith Mary Jefferis.
  • Edith Mary Chambers went to school circa 1908 in Woowoonga State School.
    Woowoonga School 1909. This photo is held by the Biggenden Historical Society. The names on the photo were placed there by the owner of the photo. Bright is standing halfway down the steps on the right, Nellie is at the top of the steps to the right, Minnie is at the top of the steps to the left and Henry is seventh from the right along the verandah.
  • According to her niece Ollie Johannssen, Minnie worked in Brisbane for a time. "She bought the piano for her parents and also a willow wear dinner set which must have cost her quite a lot even in those days. When she came back to Biggenden she worked at the hospital for a long time." Apparently Minnie was working at the hospital when she met Henry Miller who was working at John Douglas' farm just out of Biggenden.
  • Between 1923 and 1929, when Ollie Johannesen was a small girl, Minnie would make clothes for her as Ollie's mother Nellie didn't have the time nor the abilty.
  • At the age of 32 years and 15 days, Edith Mary Chambers married Henry Miller, son of Otto Miller and Friedriche Blindt, on 7 October 1929 in "Woodvale Farm", Woowoonga. They were married on Minnie's parents farm. "After the ceremony Minnie started to cry as her ring was so tight her finger swelled up and they got a dish of water and soap to get it off."
  • Edith Mary Chambers and Henry Miller appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1930 living at Cordalba. Henry was shown as a labourer and Edith carried out home duties.
