  • Charlotte Harris and David Ward left England for Queensland on 15 November 1861. They travelled on the Clifton with Charlotte's sister Rhoda Harris. David and Charlotte settled at Gowrie Creek.
  • On 17 August 1882,her husband, David Ward died in Gowrie Creek, Queensland, at age 43.
  • At the age of 42 years, 6 months and 13 days, Charlotte Harris married Thomas Williams, son of William Williams and Amelia Rodda, on 17 August 1886 in Toowoomba, Queensland. Witnesses to the marriage were Henry and Sarah Tewes.
  • Charlotte Harris appeared on the Electoral Roll with Thomas Williams between 1903 and 1908 in Crow's Nest. Thomas was a grazier and Charlotte carried out domestic duties.

  • At the age of 19 years, Susan Harris married Thomas Parton, son of Thomas Parton and Margaret Moore, on 12 April 1875 in Aston, Warwickshire.
  • Susan Harris and Thomas Parton immigrated to Moreton Bay on 30 October 1878. The family travelled on the Scottish Admiral. The records show Thomas was 24 years old, Susan 22 Their children Thomas and Elizabeth A were 2 and an infant. Elizabeth died on the voyage.
    Thomas' brother George also travelled with them. Thomas' parents Thomas and Margaret followed on the Manora in 1882.
  • Susan Harris died in 1891 in Sydney, New South Wales.

  • Ben Harrison was born on 5 June 1903. His birth was registered in the Sep 1903 Quarter in Seattle, West Riding of Yorkshire.

  • In the 1920's John Harrison established a steam sawmill on Pierce's Creek. In the 1930's the engine was shifted to Old Woman's Hut Creek. His son Ben operated this sawmill until the 1950's when Ben set up a new electric mill in Emu Creek Road, Crow's Nest. The mill was sold to Clark's Sawmilling in 1963.
  • Ben Harrison appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1926 living at Gordale, Crow's Nest. He was a farmer.
  • At the age of 25 years, Ben Harrison married Myrtle Avelina Blinco, daughter of Thomas William Blinco and Emily Rosina Wellington, in 1929 in Queensland.
  • Ben Harrison and Myrtle Avelina Blinco appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1930 living at Gordale, Crow's Nest. Ben was a farmer as was his father.
  • On 16 May 1942 the following notice appeared in "The Courier Mail"-
    "IN THE SUPREME COURT OF QUEENSLAND, In the WILL of JOHN HARRISON, late of Crow's Nest, In the State of Queensland. Sawmlller, deceased. Notice is hereby given that after the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the publication here of an application will be made to this Honourable Court that PROBATE of the WILL of he abovenamed John Harrison be ceased may be granted to BEN HARRISON of Crow's Nest In the State of Queensland Sawmiller a lawful son of he said deceased the Sole Executor named in the said Will. Any person interested who desires to object to the application or to be heard upon It, may file a Caveat, in the Registry at any time before the grant is made. Dated this Eleventh day of May, 1942.
