Six Australian (NCOs), members of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF) Tourist Club, enjoy a dinner at the Empire Club, at Kure House. Behind them is a handmade decorative poster with a drawing of a Japanese temple and bridge. The name Kure can also be seen on another banner. The BCOF Tourist Club enjoyed social gatherings, visits to factories, mines and social institutions, and trips to places of interest throughout Japan, over a four year period from 1946.
