  • John Hooper Bosanko enlisted in the Military on 3 May 1918 in Brisbane. He joined the AIF No 1300 as a Private in the A.N.&M.E.F. His next of kin was listed as John Walters Bosanko whose address was Church Street, Boonah (the house that once belonged to his grandparents John Hooper and Ann Burgess), he was single, 33 years and 11 months old and a well borer. In his application he stated he had once been rejected by the military because of his bubonic plague history. He was 5'5" tall, 128 pounds. He had blue eyes, brown hair and a dark complection. He was enlisted with the engineers and served in the Rabaul relief where he suffered several bouts of malaria. He was discharged on 3 July 1919.

  • Andreas Bosse died in July 1883 in Queensland. He died of Pemphigus, a rare group of blistering autoimmune diseases that affect the skin and mucous membranes. He had been suffering from the disease for a few years. After his death Minnie carried on with the farm with her children.
  • He was buried in Glencoe Bethlehem Lutheran cemetery. He is buried with Carl Schultz.

  • At the age of 25 years, 7 months and 24 days, Mary G(wendoline) Boutilier married William Hooper, son of Thomas Hooper and Elizabeth Hockey, on 8 August 1892 in Halifax. They were married by Licence in the Church of England. He was a 42 year old widowed teamster, born West Chinnock, England, son of Elizabeth and Thomas (a farmer). She was a 30 year old spinster, born Ingman's Prior, daughter of John (a farmer) and Sophia. Witnesses to the marriage were George Hooper and Allan Boutilier.
  • On 12 April 1913,her husband, William Hooper died in City Home, Halifax, at age 64. He was married at the time of his death from epilipsy and exhaustion. His occupation was given as a labourer. He was buried in Camp Hill Cemetery.
  • Mary G(wendoline) Boutilier died on 21 March 1930 in Halifax at age 63. At the time of her death she was living at 97 Charles Street, Halifax. She was born at St Margaret Bay and was 63 years old, her father was John Boutilier, born St Margraret Bay. The informant was Mrs Gwen Churchill, of 97 Charles Street, her daughter. She died from head injuries received when she was hit by a motor car. Mary was buried in the Camp Hill Cemetery.
