  • Ablert Edward William Crisp died on 25 February 1946 at age 77. He died at the residence of his daughter Irene at Flowerdale.
  • On 19 March 1946 Ablert Edward William Crisp's obituary appeared in The Advocate. It read:- "MR. A CRISP, FLOWERDALE
    Mr. Albert Crisp, a well-known North-West Coast identity, died suddenly at the residence of his daughter at Flowerdale. Born at Deloraine, 76 years ago, he lived with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Crisp, in that district for many years. He was one of the first farmers to work ground in the Table Cape district, and later, with his brother, farmed at Boat Harbor.
    He also farmed in the Myalla district till about nine years ago. His wife, who was formerly Miss Mildred Burgess, predeceased him two years ago.
    The late Mr. Crisp leaves a family of five sons and six daughters, Messrs. Arthur, Walter, Hubert, Reginald and Cecil Crisp (sons), and Mesdames H. Wells. E. Keegan, L. Lockett, G. Barker, V. Broonmhall and G. McNatty. Two
    sisters, Mesdames Maddox (Hobart) and Dennis (Devonport) and one brother, Mr. John Crisp (Flowerdale) also survive him.
    The funeral took place in the new public cemetery, Wynyard. Pallbearers were Messrs. V. Ridge, A. Wallers, W. Walsh, and C. Redman. Carriers were Messrs. Wells, Keegan, Lockett. Barker, Broomhall and McNatty (sons-in-law). The service at the graveside was conducted by Mr. E. Denn."
