Pastor August Daniel Hartwig

  • Pastor August Daniel Hartwig was born on 25 October 1850 in Fuerstensee, Pommern, Germany.
  • He was the son of Ferdinand Hartwig and Wilhelmine Wedland.

  • In 1877 August accepted a call to Douglas where he served at Goombungee, Highfields, Meringandan and Glencoe. After he became ill in 1883 he gave up all but the Douglas congretation, but at Lowood, Fairney View, Mt. Beppo (1897-1921) and second congregation at Douglas (1901-21.)
