Clifford was an officer on a Canadian cargo ship. They used to correspond with Jack Hooper and his sisters. Their father (James Thomas?) had a printing business in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. They had a sister Dorothy too. The man who went to Canada (Edwin?) was said by his grandson to be a double with the photo of his nephew in Australia, George James Hooper." Martha is shown as a 33 year old, born August 1877 living with her husband Lewis aged 46 born 1865 and Loius' children Lawrence born 1901, Herbert born 1900, Austen born 1894. Also living with them was Edward born 1898 aged 13 and an A Hooper born 1911 aged 2 months (This may have been A Hooper Doyle.)

Louis was a 48 year old head living with his wife Martha aged 40 and children Herbert 22, Laurence 21, William 19, step son Edward 21, Annie 10 and Lola 6. The men's occupation seemed to be listed as seafarer.
• At the age of 24 years and 5 days, Edwin Harley Hooper married Anna M Crimmons (born 1 Feb 1895, Cambridge, Massachusetts) on 1 June 1924 in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
• He was applied to be naturalised as a US citizen on 14 November 1930; At the time his stated he had one daughter Katherine M born 14 May 1925. The family lived at Allston. Edwin was a steamfitter.
• Edwin Harley Hooper died on 29 August 1981 in Medford, Massachusetts, at age 81.

• At the age of 23 years, Eliza Hooper married John Watters Bosanko, son of Henry Bosanko and Eleanor Watters, in 1882 in Sydney, New South Wales.
