His service number was 12170 and he enlisted for 7 years.He was a boilermaker. When he married he gave his wife's address as 10 Carl Street, Thompson ??? South Brisbane. He was 5'6" tall, brown hair, hazel eyes, and a fair complection. He served on various ships including "Penquin", "Brisbane", "Cerebus", "Adeliade", "Melbourne". He was discharged on 12 August 1928. His rejoined the "Kybia" on 29 January 1941 in 1941 but was discharged on 13 November 1941 for repatriation.
  • At the age of 25 years, 3 months and 26 days, Aubrey Thomas Hooper married Lydia Louise Curtis on 26 December 1928 in Queensland.
  • Aubrey Thomas Hooper died on 23 March 1947 in Queensland at age 43.

Audrey's mother and brother, Elizabeth Hooper and Jack, travelled to Sydney by boat and also visited them. They were poor folk and asked for financial assistance."
