Hale (Kaimkillenbun), J. Pincott (Tarong). M. Smoothy (Wengenville), and Kathleen (Cooyar), and three sons, Messrs. Charles Gracey (Cooyar), A. J. Gracey (Nutgrove), and Robert Gracey (Nutgrove)."

Mary Ann Rose Hurley

• At the age of 28 years, Mary Ann Rose Hurley married Thomas John Toomey on 15 September 1906 in St Mary's Church, Warwick, Queensland. Mary's father Thomas resided at Elbow Valley and Thomas lived at Lucky Valley.
  
• In November 1915 Thomas was taken to the Small Debts Court by an ex neighbour who claimed his cattle had ruined his wheat crop. At that time Thomas's lease on the land next door had expired a few months earlier and he was living at Mt Stuart.
  
• The following article appeared in the Thomas and Mary Toomey signed an agreement to work for three years on a dairy farm belonging to Daniel Connolly who lived in Warwick. After seeing the farm "Thomas told Connolly that it was just the type of place he was looking for". However, in August 1920 Mary and Thomas took Daniiel to the Supreme court where they claimed £204/17/6 from Connolly. Daniel Connolly counter claimed for £160/8/4 "for certain alleged specific advances and supplies". One condition of the agreement between the Toomeys and Connolly was the a payment of £50 be made to the Toomeys if the farm was sold within two years. When Connolly sold the farm to Mitchell less than two years later he only offered the Toomeys a sum of £30. Thomas Toomey took him to court. They received a verdict in their favour with payment of £337 5s. 6d.
  The Toomeys remained on the farm working for Mr Mitchell in 1917.
  

  This portion of land was owned by Daniel Connolly who lived in Warwick. It was a working dairy farm but Connolly may not have lived there. Around 1917 he made an arrangement with Thomas and Mary Toomey, also of Warwick, to work the farm for three years. Connolly failed to keep his side of the agreement when he sold the land just under two years into the arrangemnt. The Toomeys took him to court and won. They stayed on the farm working for "Mitchell" for at least another 10 years.
• On 20 August 1920 the following article appeared in the Warwick Daily News :- " BRISBANE, Thursday.—At the Supreme Court civil sittings to-day, in the case Toomey and Toomey v. Connolly, Mr. N. Macrossan (instructed by Messers. Dowling and Wilson) appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr. Woolcock instructed by Messrs. Fitzgerald and Walsh, town agents for Mr. Edgar Brennan, of Warwick) for the defendant.
  This was a suit in which Thomas Toomey and Mary Rose Toomey claimed £294/17/6 from Daniel Connolly, alleged to be due in connection with the working of a dairy farm at Emu Creek, near Crow's Nest.
  The defendant counter claimed £160/8/4 in respect of certain alleged specificied advances and supplies.
  The cross-examinationof the defendant was concluded.
  Timothy Connolly, son of the defen dant, gave evidence of a corroborative nature.
  After counsel's address had been concluded the Court rose until to-morrow morning."
