Mr. Dalton is a native of Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland, and arrived in Queensland in 1865. , Mrs. Dalton, who was formerly Miss Catherine Graham, is a native of Toowoomba. The marriage was solemnised at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Toowoomba, on September 1, 1882, the celebrant being the late Rev. Father T. O'connell. Members of the family present at the jubilee celebrations were : Sister M. Oliver (All Hallows Convent), Sister M. Monica (Rosalie Convent), and Sister M. Gerald (All Hallows' Con- vent, Sisters of Mercy), Mrs. M. Kelly (Birnam), Mrs. C. Cooke (Mitchell), Mrs. D. Wright (Toowoomba), Mrs. J. McMahon (Toowoomba), married daughters; Messrs. E. J. Dalton (Mitchell), Michael Dalton (Milton), Bernard Dalton (Southport), and Thomas Dalton (Taylor's Siding), sons. On the anniversary morning Mass was celebrated at Mr. and Mrs. Dalton's home by the Rev. Father T. McCormack (Roma), a relative of the family, A banquet was held, over which the Rev. Father Hayes (Crow's Nest) presided."
