  • In 1872 According to Robin Smith's book History of Crow's Nest, George Loveday and a Mr Murphy took over Crow's Nest Sheep Station when it was abandoned by Mr Tooth in the early 1870's. George erected a homestead opposite the present police station and sturdy stock yards were built by Thomas Brennan of Hampton. A two acres vegetable garden, surrounded by a paling fence, supplied the homestead.
    However, George abandoned Crow's Nest in favour of a selection of land at Cooby Creek. The station was then run by a syndicate.
  • In 1901 George was listed as a grazier of Geham in the 1901 Crow's Nest Post Office Directory.
  • On 31 October 1912,his wife, Susan Warner died in Queensland.
