The ballot had to be resorted to in no less than 50 cases; this, with the refunding of the amounts paid by the unsuccessful applicants, necessarily occupied a deal of time, and it was not till half-past 6 O'clock that the business was concluded, and the court closed. By 7 o'clock the whole of the refundments had been paid over to 115 applicants. The 76 portions adjoining the village of Ravensbourne, granted at the land court, were apportioned among 62 selectors, so there is every probability of the village settlement of Ravensbourne proving a success. The total area granted at the court was 5025 acres among 68 applicants."

- Daisy Richardson son Victor Herbert Siebuhr enlisted in the Australian Army on 15 December 1941 in Brisbane. He was living at Cambooya at the time and gave his wife Elizabeth as his next of kin. He was discharged on the 21 November 1944 with the rank of Leading Aircraftman, 44061, with the 3rd Aircraft Depot.
- Daisy Richardson second son Eric Sydney Siebuhr enlisted in the Australian Army on 13 February 1942 in Brisbane. He was living at Pilton at the time of his enlistment and gave his next of kin as his father Christian. His service number was QX27576. He was discharged on 24 March 1944 with the rank of Private in the 28th Salvage Section.
- On 22 March 1943 Christian was driving a car that was involved in an accident with a truck near Toowoomba. The Courier Mail reported (though not accurately) on 23 March :- "EIGHT INJURED IN COLLISION. TOOWOOMBA, Monday.— Eight people were injured when a motor truck and a motor car collided this afternoon at the junction of the Toowoomba-Warwick and Clifton-Pilton roads. They were:— Ronald Stanley Siebuhr, 60, fracture of right shoulder, probable fracture of ribs, abrasions, and concussion. Daisy Siebuhr, his wife, fracture of left thigh and both forearms, probable fracture of skull, and lacerations. Miss Ann Tichborn, fracture of right collarbone, and lacerations on forehead. Christian Henry Siebuhr (driver of the car) , dislocated right shoulder. These four, who were the occupants of the car, were taken to the Toowoomba Hospital by the Clifton ambulance bearers. The four occupants of the truck, who were not seriously injured, were taken to the Warwick Hospital by the Warwick ambulance. They were: William Blandford, 23 (driver); Melinda Blandford, 20; his wife; and their two children. Melba, 21 months, and Kevin, 7 months. Probably, they will be discharged from hospital tomorrow or on Wednesday."
- On 4 April 1943,her husband, Christian Heinrich Siebuhr died in Queensland at age 63. His death was announced in The Courier Mail on Wednedsay 5 May. The notice read: - "PILTON. — The death is announced of Mr. Christian Henry Siebuhr, 64. He was born at Charlton and in his earliest years engaged in timber work at Crows Nest and later became a teamster for Ramsay Brothers, of Harrow Station. Subsequently he engaged in farming in Pilton. He is survived by his wife, four sons— Victor (R.A.A.F.l) Ron (9th Div.), Eric (A.I.F.) and Allan (Pilton)— and three daughters— Mrs R. Dawson (Brisbane) and Misses T. and G. Siebuhr."
- Daisy Richardson was listed as the next of kin of Allan Christian Siebuhr when he enlisted in the Australian Army on 16 December 1943 in Brisbane. His service number was 151051. He was living at Newton, Toowoomba at the time and give his mother Daisy as his next of kin. He was discharge on 17 July 1946 with the rank of Leading Aircraftman with the 3rd Aircraft Depot
. To see all of her son's enlist much have been a very hard thing for Daisy, as she had lost two brothers in France during WW1. - Daisy Richardson died on 11 March 1965 in Queensland at age 77.

He was still a Private with the 15th Battalion when he was killed in action.
