The Brisbane Courier reported:- " While William Cronk was mustering bullocks this morning his horse fell and rolled on him, causing serious injuries. He is now unconscious, and is being conveyed by road to Toowoomba. The Ambulance has been wired for to meet him. The Ambulance Brigade met Cronk two miles from Crow's Nest, and rendered first aid. He was found to he suffering from severe internal injuries and haemorrhage, and an injury to his left shoulder. Cronk was conveyed by the brigade to the Toowoomba Hospital-upwards of thirty miles. He was reported to-night to be in a critical condition.
