He had been captured by the Japanese and survived being a Prisioner of War at Changi.
  • At the age of 27 years, 5 months and 18 days, Keith William Hooper married Betty Florence Ball, daughter of Joseph Ball and Florence Slater, on 8 February 1947 in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Woolloongabba.
