- In 1792 Thomas was said to be "of the Tything of Neatham" ie owner Neatham, witnesses Benjamin Fielder and Richard Marshall. He was living, if only temperorily, with his mother's family. Possiblly lived/owned 64 High Street late 18th Century.
- At the age of 27 years, 4 months and 25 days, Thomas Jeffery Jefferis married Ann Kemp, daughter of Dr Robert Kemp and Mary Paice, on 26 February 1792 in Alton, Hampshire.
- On 14 April 1792 Thomas Jeffery Jefferis and Ann Kemp lived in Market Square, Alton. The conveyance of the property of "Lady Place" mentions Thomas Jeffery Jefferis of Alton and Ann (daughter of Robert Kemp jun, apothecary and surgeon.)This photo was taken on 24 June 1919, Alton. A vacant building site is being used as a market known as Market Square. The 18th Century house "Lady Place" in the corner of Market Square was aquired at the site of a proposed new library. However, it was demolished and the site was incorporated into a car park. From the book "Bygone Alton"
- In 1798 his father's will mentions a loan of 1,000 pound to be taken out of the 1,500 pound left to him. He was not an executor of the will. The will also specified that Thomas Jeffrey was not to" make a claim on the black boy in Fordingbridge."
- On 13 July 1798 the house and tanyard belonging to Thomas was valued, according to the Poor Rate book as RV 18 pound.
- In 1800 Thomas paid a land tax on 13 shillings for the house and yard. He was also mentioned again in the conveyance of "Lady Place" property. He was also a church warden in Alton.
- In 1801 Thomas's house and tanyard attracted a rate of RV 24 pound (Poor Rate book), and in 1803 the rate was 26 pound and 10 shillings. In 1808 the land tax was again 13 shillings.
- In 1804Thomas Jeffery Jefferis was named as a beneficiary of Elizabeth Jeffrey's will. Elizabeth named her nephew Thomas Jeffery Jefferis as the sole executer. He was also left the remainer of her estate after legacies had been paid after he death in 1811.
- On 25 September 1809 the Hampshire Chronical reported that (F?) T Jefferis had received a games certificate for Alton.
- Thomas Jeffery Jefferis and Ann Kemp had eleven children .Thomas Jeffery 1792 (who was mentally disabled), Ann 1793, William 1795, Henry 1797, Richard 1798 (died an infant), George 1800, Charles 1802, John 1804, Robert 1806, Mary Elizabeth 1807 and James 1809.
- On 2 March 1812 Thomas obtained a Counterpart lease for 10 years by University trustees under the will of Lady Sadleir to Thomas Jeffrey Jefferis of Alton, Hampshire, of its share of tithes in Neatham. This lease was formerly held by his brother in law Thomas Jeffery and was taken up by his son Henry Jefferis who renewed it in 1828.
- On 2 June 1812 The poor rate tax was again 26 pounds, 10 shillings for the house and tanyard.
- On 28 March 1814 Thomas took out policy no 280522 with Royal Exchange Assurance - " on a house and Offices adjoining block and tiled site in the High Street Alton Afsd in the occup'n of the Widow Jeffery 300 pound."
- In 1815 Thomas was noted as having two seats in the church.
- In 1815 The appropriation of seats in the parish church listed two tanners, one of which was Thomas Jeffrey Jefferis.
- In 1815 he and his family (except for Thomas Jeffery Jefferis) sat in a pew in the singing gallery (Curtis.)
- Between 1816 and 1821 the Land tax paid by Thomas in 1816, was 13 shillings. In 1820, July 13 his RV poor rate tax was again 26 pounds and 10 shillings. Then in 1821 his land tax was again 13 shillings.
- On 16 July 1822 Thomas Jeffery Jefferis lived in Alton. In the agreement for lease of tithes of Neatham, Thomas Jeffery Jefferis is noted as a tanner of Alton. No 25 Lenton Street, Brooklands, Curtis House + Thoms Jeffery and Henry Jefferies Tithes No 221.
- He left a will in 1825. It was also proved in 1825. Thomas owned land and several houses as well as the tannery in Alton. His will secured money and a home for his widow as well as dividing his property among his children. His executors were his wife and sons George and Henry.
- Thomas Jeffery Jefferis died in July 1825 in Alton at age 60. He was said to be 60 years old when he died.

- The Kemp family bible was given to Thomas Jeffrey Jefferis (1792-1864) by his grandmother Mary Kemp (nee Paice) before her death presumedly in the early 1800's. It was passed on to his great great nephew Graham Jeffery Jefferis in December 1908. It was preserved by his daughter May (Marion) Tilley.
- In 1815 the Church records indicate that Thomas, aged about 22, had two seats in the Church, while his parents and siblings sat in a pew in the singing gallery.
- He was a tanner in Alton.
- Thomas Jeffery Jefferis died on 22 August 1864 in Alton at age 71. He died a bachelor.
- On 25 August 1864 an entry appeared in the Gunner Diary -"Poor old Thomas Jefferis is dead. No one was better known in the town than he, a poor half witted but very harmless man and everyone having a little joke with him." This probably explains why it was Henry and not Thomas who took over the tannery business from his father.

He is living with his 58 year old wife Ellen born Barnes, Surry and his 23 year old son George born St James, Middlesex, a schoolmaster.

It is not clear if this Ricahrd is the son of the widow Ann Rider, or the son of William Jefferis. However, no birth registration can be found for a Richard W Jefferis. The is one ofr a Richard William Rider in June 1854 in Lambeth.
- There is a death of a William Jefferis recorded in the London, an unknown place in September 1875, however, this may not be the correct date of death for thisWilliam Jefferis.The death registration shows he was 80 years old.

- Thomas was buried in St Mary of the Assumption Church, Froyle. The inscription on their tomb reads: -(Chest tomb) Sacred to the memory of MARY JEFFREY, wife of THOMAS JEFFREY, who departed this life Sep 27th 1805 aged 50 years.

Obituary.-An old identity, Mr. John Kahler, died here this week. He was a native of Toowoomba, where he was born on July 12, 1856. He leaves a wife and a grown family." - Anna Elise Jende died on 19 May 1938 in Queensland.
