It appears that her mother had also remarried to someone named Weldon. Mary's second marriage took place at her mother's residence in Tenterfield. Witnesses to the marriage were Elizabeth Ann Weldon (her mother?) and Louis Werner. The service was officiated by William Denning according to the rites of the Weslyan Church. Mary Jane had four young children under nine at the time of the marriage.
