John senior found work in various parts of NSW before the family settled in the Robertson district of NSW.

  • She was the daughter of William Crawford and Margaret Maxwell.
  • Mary (Minnie) Crawford immigrated to New South Wales, Australia, on 24 December 1880. Mary came to Australia with her sister Elizabeth who had married William Wilson, and her family. The immigration record showed William Wilson aged 35, Elizabeth aged 30 and their children John 5, Margaret 3, William 2 and infant James. Elizabeth was 30 years old and sister Mary Crawford aged 19 travelled with them on the ship the Northampton.

  • In February 1906 Frank and Mary resided at Tevan, Frank having taken out second prize in the Hen Egg Section of the Alstonville Show. He also took out prizes for his sugar cane.
  • In July 1907 Frank and his daughter Daisy sang at a meeting of the Band of Hope at the Teven Methodist Chruch.
  • In 1928 Frank and Minnie ran the Post Office at Brooklana.
  • In 1930 Mary (Minnie) Crawford lived in Eastern Dorrigo.
  • On 27 May 1935,her husband, Frank Allard died in New South Wales at age 73. He died at his home.
  • Mary (Minnie) Crawford died on 25 December 1936 in New South Wales, Australia, at age 76.
  • She was buried in Coffs Harbour Cemetery.
  • On 20 March 1939 an advertisement appeared in the Daily Examiner (Grafton) for the sale of dairy and agricultural farms belonging to the estate of Frank Allard.

  • Mary Ann Crawford was born on 20 October 1845 in Co Derry, Ireland.
  • She was the daughter of William Crawford and Mary Jane Godfrey.
  • At the age of 20 years, 3 months and 20 days, Mary Ann Crawford married Robert Black on 9 February 1866 in Drayton, Queensland.
  • On 11 August 1872,her husband, Robert Black died in Queensland at age 30.
  • In 1878 Mary Ann donated half an acre of land for the erection of the Presbyterian Church at Geham. She was made a lifetime member of the church and donated £50 to the church on her death. A chain wire fence was placed around the church, and a plaque to her erected inside.
  • Mary Ann Crawford appeared on the Electoral Roll with John Crawford Black and Anna Matilda Munro between 1908 and 1917 in Geham. He was a clerk.
  • Mary Ann Crawford died on 4 February 1935 in Queensland at age 89.

  • In 1881 Duncan built "Argyle Homestead" at Geham where he and his large family lived for 33 years before retiring to Toowoomba.
  • On 15 June 1926,her husband, Duncan Munro died in Queensland at age 82.
  • Matilda Crawford died on 23 August 1932 in Queensland.
  • She was buried on 24 August 1932 in Drayton & Toowoomba Cemetery. Late of "Haddington."
