  • He and Mary Ann Thorpe appeared on the census of 30 March 1851 in Westminster. William is shown as a 54 year old greengrocer, living with his wife Mary Ann, born Candover Hampshire aged 62, and son Thomas J aged 22, a green grocers porter and daughter Elizabeth aged 25.

  • Between 1851 and 1861,his wife, Mary Ann Thorpe died in London. William is shown as a widower on the 1861 census.
  • William Jefferis appeared on the census of 7 April 1861 in Greenwich. William is shown as a 63 year old grower of vegetables, a widow, living with Ann Rider 36, governess and a Richard W aged 7. It is not clear if this Ricahrd is the son of the widow Ann Rider, or the son of William Jefferis. However, no birth registration can be found for a Richard W Jefferis. The is one ofr a Richard William Rider in June 1854 in Lambeth.

  • There is a death of a William Jefferis recorded in the London, an unknown place in September 1875, however, this may not be the correct date of death for thisWilliam Jefferis.The death registration shows he was 80 years old.

  • In 1758Martha Jeffrey was named as a beneficiary of Thomas Jeffrey's will. In his will Thomas mentions a loving brother Bernard Burningham and loving cousin Thomas Earwacker (his sister Elizabeth's husband). He also bequethed at least 510 pound to his daughter Martha.
  • Martha Jeffrey married Thomas Jefferis on 11 February 1762 in Froyle Thomas was from Fordingbridge, a common brewer, aged 21. She was from Bonhams in Neatham near Froyle aged 21.
  • Martha Jeffrey died before 1798. Martha was not mentioned in her husband's will of 1798. They seemed to have lived in Fordingbridge.

  • At the age of 29 years and 6 months, Thomas Jeffrey married Ann Ridge, daughter of Benjamin Ridge and Ann Burningham, on 21 May 1723 in Kingsley. Thomas of Neatham married Ann from Froyle by licence.
  • Thomas Jeffrey left a will in 1758. In his will Thomas mentions a loving brother Bernard Burningham and loving cousin Thomas Earwacker (his sister Elizabeth's husband). He also bequethed at least 510 pound to his daughter Martha.

  • On 20 February 1802 Thomas obtained a counterpart lease for 10 years by University trustees under the will of Lady Sadleir to Thomas Jeffrey of Bonhams, Alton, Hampshire, gentleman, of its share of tithes in Neatham. The Annual rent was 44 pound. This lease was then taken up by his sister Martha's son Thomas Jeffrey Jefferis. They were previously held by Bernard Burningham.
  • Thomas Jeffrey died on 30 July 1804.
  • Thomas was buried in Froyle. The inscription on their tomb reads: -(Chest tomb) Sacred to the memory of MARY JEFFREY, wife of THOMAS JEFFREY, who departed this life Sep 27th 1805 aged 50 years.
    Sacred to the memory of THOMAS JEFFREY of Bonhams who departed this life July 13th 1804 aged 64 years.

  • At the age of 21 years, Anna Elise Jende married Johann Kahler, son of Heinrich (Henry) Kahler and Elizabeth Kahler, in 1885 in Queensland.
  • Anna Elise Jende and Johann Kahler appeared on the Electoral Roll in 1903 living at Douglas. John was a farmer and Anna Eliza carried out home duties.
  • Anna Elise Jende and Johann Kahler appeared on the Electoral Roll between 1919 and 1925 living at Cunnamulla.
  • In September 1925,her husband, Johann Kahler died in Queensland at age 67. His obituary appeared in The Courier Mail :- "CUNNAMULLA.
    Obituary.-An old identity, Mr. John Kahler, died here this week. He was a native of Toowoomba, where he was born on July 12, 1856. He leaves a wife and a grown family."

  • At the time of the 30 March 1851 census, Catherine Jane Jenking was living in the household of William Jenking and Jane Dunn Lower in St Mawes. William is shown as a 52 year old fisherman born St Mawes living with his wife Jane age 49 born Mevagissey, and their children Catherine J a 19 year old asssitant (crossed out) and Stephen L a 13 year old rope maker both born St Mawes. Living with the family is William's father Matthew Jenking a retired ropemaker born St Maws. Living next door is Jane's sister Grace Nancarrow and brother in law George Chambers.

All were born in St Mawes.
