  • On 20 July 1904,her husband, Henri Gustav August Roze died in Gowrie Flat, Queensland. He died of a fractured skull after a fight with his employee,Toleff Aumudsen. An inquiry held in Crow's Nest on 22 Jul 1904, and Aumudsen was charged with manslaughter. He served two years hard labour.
