The certificated showed that Maria aged 21 born at Toowoomba adn Henri, 20 had been born in Altonia Prussia. They both lived at Meringendan at the time of their marriage. The minister was Theordore Langbecker and his wife Emma appeared to have witnessed the marriage along with Maria's sister Sophia.

  • Henri Gustav August Roze died on 20 July 1904 in Gowrie Flat, Queensland. He died of a fractured skull after a fight with his employee,Toleff Aumudsen. An inquiry held in Crow's Nest on 22 Jul 1904, and Aumudsen was charged with manslaughter. He served two years hard labour.
