    Their children were Alicia, Anne, William Paul, John Henry, Catherine, Margaret, Edmund Francis, Mary, and Walter.

William Coman

His siblings were Ellen 20, Michael 18, James 15, Walter 13, and Catherine 10.
  • William Coman married Elizabeth Alice (Alicia) Kirby in 1842. They eventually made their home at Forest Lodge, Eurobodalla where they bred dairy cattle and later set up a cheese factory on the property. They had 11 children.

    William was the first to find gold on Mt Dromedary and the Gulf in 1852. He eventually lost the property presumedly in financing the Mt Coman gold mine which did not produce as expected.

As soon as the gate was opened the horse bolted through and down a steep hill. The sulky collided with a stump. Mr. Woodrow was thrown out. He was terribly injured, and died almost instantly. The deceased leaves a grown-up family, most of whom are resident in West Australia."
