He was born in Germany and came to Australia as a child with his parents in 1887. He married Miss Olga Wilhelmlne Hoppe at Geham on May 12, 1920. He leaves his wife, and two sons, Eric and George, and two grandchildren. The late Mr. Vonhoff followed contract work for a time and well sinking in the Groomsville district. Later he took up farming in the Crow's Nest district and resided there for 14 years. He was a foundation member of the Lutheran Church in Crow' s Nest when it was established 22 years ago. Later he sold his property and came to live at Yarraman 12 years ago. He was occupied in farming until his death. He was the eldest of five brothers and four sisters. The funeral left the Crow's Nest Lutheran Church on Tuesday after a service, for the Crow's Nest Cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends attended. Pastors F. H. Schmidt (Kingaroy) and Venz (Highfields officiated at the church, and graveside.

A doctor was a passenger in the car, but the girl was dead when picked up. Her injuries included a fractured skull, neck, and left thigh, and eight fractured ribs. She had arrived at Pilton at midday to spend a holiday with relatives.
