- At the age of 20 years, Henri Gustav August Roze married Maria Dorothea Paulsen, daughter of Peter Nicholas Paulsen and Wiebke Margaretha Ehlers, on 12 May 1890 in Lutheran Parsonage, James Street, Toowoomba, Queensland. The certificated showed that Maria aged 21 born at Toowoomba adn Henri, 20 had been born in Altonia Prussia. They both lived at Meringendan at the time of their marriage. The minister was Theordore Langbecker and his wife Emma appeared to have witnessed the marriage along with Maria's sister Sophia.
