    At St. Catherine's Church of Engand, Pinelands, Crow's Nest district, on September 30, Mr. Alfred Dukes (youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.Dukes (Whichello), was married to Miss Gladys Vera Isabel Fitch (youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J.Fitch, Pinelands). The Rev. J. C.Flood officiated. The bride who was given away by her brother, Mr. S. Fitch, was frocked in ivory fleur-de-Chlne, relieved with band embroidery. Her embroidered tulle veil was finished with orange blossoms and white and silver streamers. She carried a sheaf of lilies. Miss Irene Fitch, who attended hersister as bridesmaid, wore a dress of champagne crepe-de-Chino; with hat to tone,- and her bouquet was of pale pink sweet peas and carnations. Miss Daisy Dukes (sister of the bridegroom) was dressed in Ivory crepe-deChine, with hat to harmonise, and her bouquet was tied with pink and white streamers. Little Doreen Fitch acted as train-bearer. Mr. Harold Dukes acted as best man, and Mr. Eric Sondergeld as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. W. J.Fitch at the Plnelands Hall. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. A. Dukes left for Brisbane, where the honeymoon was spent.
