After her marriage to Mr David Johnston 57 years ago, they lived at "Omega Retreat", Gerringong, being engaged in the dairy industry. Later they moved to Richmond River, and after 15 years pioneering the Big Scrub, they moved, with their young family to Tenterfield, where they have lived for the past 32 years. On the 4 May 1925 they celebrated their golden wedding amidst a happy gathering of family and friends.

The service was conducted at the home and at the graveside by Rev W H Willey who spoke in complimentary terms of the consistent life of the deceased. There was a great number of beautiful floral tributes sent by sympathetic friends. The remains were laid to rest in the Methodist portion of the local Cemetery.
