He donated several cups, and was a consistent exhibitor, winning many prizes, He leaves a widow, three daughters, and six sons - Mrs. A. Davis (Esk). Nurse Edna Littleton (Brisbane), and Miss Mona Littleton (Pinelands), and Messrs. Ven., Ivor, Roy, Val, John, and Colin Littleton, all of Pinelands. The deceased'a brothers are Messrs. A. T. Littleton (Chairman of the Crow's Nest Shire Council); E, T. Littleton (Sladevlle, Warwick), Francis Harold , and Stanley Westley. His sisters are Mrs. Gowlett (Toowoomba) and Miss Grace Littleton Brisbane). The funeral took place yesterday from the Methodist Church, to the Crow's Nest cemetery.

An inquest was held into his death as reported by The Brisbane Courier on 25 November 1912 - An inquiry was held today into the circumstances of the death of Ralph Littleton Gowlett, of Highfields road, who was, found dead with a bullet wound in his head on November 6 in a dairy at his fathers residence. Evidence was given by Thomas Gowlett (father of the deceased), Mrs. Gowlett (mother), and Constable Scanlon who produced a certifificate from Dr Freshney showing that the immediate cause of death was a bullet wound in the brain with hemorrhage supervening. His evidence indicated that the wound was inflicted by a Winchester pea rifle accidentally exploded. Sergeant MCCarthy conducted the examination of
  witnesses.

Littleton , Pinelands, Crow's Nest, and a great niece of Mrs. V. H. Groom, Toowoomba) was solemnised at the Toowoomba Methodist Church on January 24. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. R. Littleton. Her travelling gown was of navy blue crepe de Chine, with bodice and loose panels, being braided and bended in henna, and a navy blue hat, lined with henna, and finished with, flowers in the same tones. Miss Edna Littleton (her sister) attended as bridesmaid, and wore apricot charmante, piped with black, and a black hat. Mr. Arthur. Hillenberg was best man. The reception was held at the Cafe Alexandra. The honeymoon will be spent at Brisbane and the seaside.
