  • Around 1900, Fred and May moved to Queensland, living firstly in the Clifton/Allora district before moving to Pinelands around 1909. Here he built a stone house, a long and expensive undertaking. The home consisted of four rooms and a hallway with fifteen inch walls, keeping the internal temperature even all year around. There was a large fireplace in one room. After Fred's death his son Ray sold the property when he moved to Anduramba.
