The late Mrs. Pukallus, whose husband predeceased her about three years ago, was bom in Germany in 1849. from where she migrated with her husband and two children at the age of 30 years, landing In Australia in 1879. A few years later the family settled in the Crow's Nest district, where the husband selected land, and, after years of pioneering life, retired. Deceased is survived by two sons and six daughters: Harry (Crow's Nest), Otto (Haden). Mrs. I. Ward (Tewantin), Mrs. Chas. Erhlich (Toowoomba). Mrs. Guhr (Brisbane), Mrs. Krantz (Goombungee), and Miss Millie Pukallus (Plainby); also 28 grandchildren. The funeral took place to the Douglas Cemetery, and was largely attended."
