    Archbishop Duhig’s three days mission was very well attended.
    His Grace returned to Brisbane today."

He stands in the unique position of being the first medical superintendent' to receive a pre sent from the inmates of the institution, as a token of their esteem and their thanks for the loving care and attention he has bestowed upon all. The sentiments of the inmates are resolved by the officers and staff of the institution, and the residents of Dunwich generally. Mr. R. A. S. Browne handed a wallet of notes to the doctor as o mark of appre ciation and a parting gift from the offi cers and staff; Dr. Harlin left Dunwich by a launch decked with flags in his honour."

  • Alfred Jabez Harriman died on 3 July 1986 in Denton Station, Morella, Longreach, Queensland, at age 85. He died from myocardial infarction and chronic obstructive airways disease which he had been suffering from for the past 20 years. The informant of his death was his son Maurice Harriman.
  • Alfred was cremated on 8 July 1986 in Albany Creek Crematorium.
