- Charles Daniel Bridgeman was born on 11 November 1845 in New South Wales, Australia. At the time of his marriage Charles states he was born at "Gosswyck" was likely a property in the Clarence River District or it was the property Gostwyck located between Tamworth and Armidale. Or it may have been Gostwyck, owned by Edward Gostwyck Cory on the Paterson River, Hunter Valley. Having been baptised on the Clarence, only three weeks after he was born makes the Gostwyck, New England connection less credible.
- He was the son of Thomas Bridgeman and Jane Eyles.
- Charles Daniel Bridgeman was baptized on 3 December 1845 in Clarence River, New South Wales, Australia. His parents lived on the Clarence River and his father was a carpenter.
- He witnessed the marriage of William Gillis and Jane Eyles on 29 August 1861 in Bogandilla Station, Dulacca, Queensland, Australia; The marriage took place at Boggandilla Station where both Jane and William lived, William being an overseer of the station at the time. Witnesses were Charles Eyles (Charles Bridgeman aged 16) and Francis Eyles (Frank Gillies aged 11). Jane and William may have wanted the minister to believe that that Jane was single, and they didn't have several children between them. Hence Charles and Frances Eyles were Jane's brothers for the purpose of the marriage.
- At the age of 29 years, 3 months and 26 days, Charles Daniel Bridgeman married Frances Myrah Ewin, daughter of Francis Ewin and Jane Davis, on 9 March 1875 in Dalby, Queensland, Australia. Charles was working as a bullock driver in Dalby (taking goods out west and to Gympie) at the time of his marriage. Frances was a 21 year old spinster from Leicestershire, the daughter of a pottery and drain worker Francis Ewin, and Jane Davis. After their marriage, Charles worked as a station hand at Augathella.
- After their marriage, Charles Daniel Bridgeman and Frances Myrah Ewin moved to Augathella. Charles worked as a stockman on a cattle station. Their first four daughters Jane Deborah, Ethel, Rosina and Frances were born on the station between 1877 and 1881. Charles then worked at Nive Downs for a time. He proposed going further west to Tambo but Frances could not be persuaded, so they returned to Amby Downs where Matilda was born in 1884.
Sometime between 1884 and 1887 the family went to live with Jane Gillis at Gowrie Little Plain where Daisy was born in 1887. Chales had selected land at Kilbournie and was clearing the land, fencing and building a house for the family. Two more daughters Amelia and Phoebe were born by 1891. - On 5 February 1891Charles Daniel Bridgeman was named as a beneficiary of Jane Eyles's will. She bequeathed her daughter Agnes, the wife of John McGregor eight cows, and her daughter Ida wife of Walter Wood eight cows also (to be selected after Agnes had chosen hers). She bequeathed her son William Patrick the threshing machine; her daughter Alice Anderson portion 969, parish of Meringandan (80 acres); her daughter Agnes McGregor portions 1928 and 973, parish of Meringandan (80 acres in total); forty pound each to Charles Walter Bridgeman, William Patrick Gillis, Francis Gillis, Alice Anderson, Catherine Hill, and Jane Graham. The remainder of her estate was to be sold by her executors Francis Gillis and John McGregor and distributed equally between Charles Walter Bridegman, William Patrick Gillis, Francis Gillis, Alice Anderson, Agnes McGregor, Ida Wood, Catherine Hill, and Jane Graham. Her daughter Helen (Ellen) Burgess was not mentioned in the will.
- Charles Daniel Bridgeman's first son, Walter Francis was born 1893 in Kilbirnie. He was to be the only son as his brother Richard, born 1895 died as when he was three years old. Two more daughters Eva and Violet were born in 1897 and 1900.
- Between 1907 and 1909 Charles and Myrah moved to Cooyar to work on a dairy farm as share farmers. The drought of 1902 had left them in need of cash to continue on their own farm where they continued to live until his death.
Charles was a skilled carpenter and built many of his children's homes. - Charles Daniel Bridgeman died on 12 November 1910 in Toowoomba General Hospital, Queensland, Australia, at age 65.
